Brandon Holman has almost 30 years experience in the IT industry, and spent most of his career working in Europe and the USA, where he was employed for 18 years by IBM as a systems engineer and consultant. He emigrated to New Zealand in 2006 and has worked in this country for NZ Police, AMP and Westpac Bank. His principle area of expertise is working with the version of DB2 that runs on Linux, UNIX and Windows, but he has familiarity also with Z/OS and OS/400 versions. He prefers to be in a customer facing role, but has often been close to where web application servers interface with their data storage, and where real-time data for business intelligence is needed. More recently he has spent time with the Microsoft database technology offerings.
